Hi SCS PTSA families!
It is time for PTSA elections for the upcoming school year!! Elections are open through 6pm Thursday, April 25, 2019.
If you have been thinking about getting more involved with SCS and want to know more about what happens in the school, please consider volunteering for a position on the PTSA. Among other things, this past school year, the PTSA sponsored a Fall Carnival for SCS families and the community, started a Backpack Buddies program for students in need at SCS, created a budget to help reimburse teachers for classroom supplies and participated in a Healthy Eating Initiative program to help families learn more about fresh local fruits and vegetables available in our community. Next year, we plan to continue what we started and more! The PTSA always appreciates parent involvement and participation in whatever capacity works for you and your family.
If you are thinking about a position on the board of directors (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Member-At-Large, Teacher Liaison, Chair of a Committee), we meet once a month. The board meeting schedule is decided by the board at the beginning of the school year. Individual committees set their own meeting dates and times based on need.
